Tools Required:

  • #2 Philips screwdriver
  • 3/32” Allen Key
  • Soft-edged pry device (e.g., small flathead screwdriver)

Step 1

Turn off power to the transformer completely prior to disassembling the fixture.  To remove the cap and lens, carefully loosen the Allen screw (3/32) on the fixture.

Step 2

Remove the cap and lens by pulling downward to access the LED board and filters. There are O-rings on the lens cap, it may be tight to pull out.

Step 3

Turn the filters counter clockwise and pull up to remove.

Step 4

Depending on the size of the LED board, you will have two to three Phillips head screws that need to be removed to access the LED board below the reflector. Carefully remove these screws by turning each counter clockwise.

Step 5

Remove the LED board using a small flat head screwdriver, gradually prying a section of the board and repeating this process around the perimeter of the board.  Clear all debris or residual thermal pad material from the fixture base.

Step 6

Once the LED board is successfully removed, perform this procedure backwards to install the replacement board. Not all boards will fit in every fixture, so ensure the fixture can accommodate the selected board prior to maintenance. Also remove any residue left on the fixture from old LED board prior to installation of new one. All FX LED boards come with a pink colored thermal pad attached to the bottom that should be left in place.  Compatible LED boards for this fixture include: ZDCKITL (COLOR), ZD1LEDULKIT-ZD3LEDULKIT-ZD6LEDULKIT-ZD9LEDULKIT (ZD), ZD3LEDT (Wild Life) and 1LEDULKIT-3LEDULKIT-6LEDULKIT-9LEDULKIT (standard).
