Need to disconnect the wiring from the main line first, then remove the fixture from the wall mount bracket using a small adjustable wrench. Step 2 Remove the lamp using the TS valve lapping tool. Step 3 Place a piece of tape over the head of the flathead screws on the back of the fixture preventing the couplers/screws from falling out of place. Remove the nuts inside with a 5/16” (8mm) nut driver by turning counter clockwise.Keep the fixture facing upward lying flat on a table. Step 4 Remove old socket by pulling outward. Step 5 Use a spare piece of wire to fish the NEW socket assembly through the grommet at the base of the fixture.Use tape if necessary to hold the two wires together. Step 6 Slowly, pull the wires and use the screwdriver to line up the socket base over the screws. Step 7 Place the nut in the nut driver. While holding the fixture upside down, start threading the nut on one side of the internal socket assembly. Once both nuts are started, tighten down as needed.
