Step 1

Remove the lens cap from the fixture. Some FX UpLights require the installer to loosen an Allen screw (5/64) on the side of the lens cap to remove from fixture.  Once the screw is loosened without removed completely, the lens cap can be removed by shifting back and forth.

Step 2

Some fixtures will have a spring under the lamp and/or two smaller Phillips screws at the bottom of the base assembly that would have to be removed by turning counterclockwise.

Step 3

The knuckle fitting will need to be disassembled in order to remove the socket. A large Phillips screw can be removed on the side of fixture to allow separate the knuckle assembly.

Step 4

With both the base assembly and riser knuckle disassembled, you can easily remove the socket for replacement by feeding wire out the top.  Feed the socket wire through the top portion of the knuckle assembly. Make sure the O-Ring is in place before feeding the socket wire through the bottom portion of the knuckle assembly. Feed the socket wire through the bottom portion of the knuckle assembly. Before re-connecting the two parts of the knuckle assembly, and tightening the screw, take care to set the O-ring in place.
