Luxor - Wireless Linking Module Update Process

Tabs

Read Article

Firmware updates are occasionally released to enhance the functionality of the Wireless Linking Module. To update the Wireless Linking Module using the Luxor, an SD card is required to transfer the data from a computer to the facepack.

NOTE: When upgrading the WiFi Linking Module Firmware, you may receive the message "File Not Found."  If you see this message, please check the following:

  1. The SD card must be an SD or SD-HC. SD-XC should NOT be used. SD-XC cards do not work with Luxor.
  2. Make sure the file name was NOT changed after being saved.  Example: L2WL0101(2).efi should be L2WL0101.efi

Step 1

Download the appropriate FIRMWARE update file. Save the firmware onto an SD card. Direct Download

Step 2

Remove the FACEPACK from the chassis by pulling on the tab to the right of the facepack and swinging the door open. Pull the black tab on the back of the facepack outward while simultaneously pushing the facepack through the door carriage.

Step 3

Insert the SD CARD with the pins facing the front of the facepack, pressing completely inward. Release to lock the card into place.

Step 4

From the HOME screen, select SETUP. Navigate to the FIRMWARE tab and press the scroll wheel.

Step 5

Select the Firmware Type LINKING MODULE that will be updated. Once the designed type is selected, navigate to UPDATE and press the scroll wheel. The update process usually takes between 5 and 15 seconds.

NOTE: This will only update the Linking Module installed in the primary Luxor controller.

Step 6

There are two options for updating the Linking Modules:

  1. Remove LINK MOD from each LSAT (satellite controller) and update at primary Luxor (see image above)
  2. Remove the Luxor facepack and install it in each LSAT to perform the update.

NOTE: The update will not override any programmed values (wireless channel, network ID, chassis ID).
