SRP-RGBW - Troubleshooting

Tabs

Read Article

The chart below references common oversights when installing the SRP-RGBW fixture. We always recommend following the installation guide to avoid any of the following issues. Learn More

Issue Issue Description Resolution
Turns Only Red or Green The SRP was cut in a location where the LED boards overlapped. This caused the jumper pins to only touch the green and red LED copper pads. The SRP should only be cut on the “cut lines.” These are always located in the middle of the copper pads (see step #1). Learn More
Turns Only Blue The LED spacer was not inserted, causing the jumper pins to only make solid contact with the blue LED pad. Insert LED Spacer (see step #2). Learn More
Not Turning On The SRP was cut in a location where it damaged electrical components. This caused the strip light not to turn on. The SRP should only be cut on the “cut lines.” These are always located in the middle of the copper pads (see step #1). Learn More
Opposite End Not Matching Color The pins were not inserted into the SRP. This caused the jumper only to make a connection with the green pad. The SRP should only be cut on the “cut lines.” These are always located in the middle of the copper pads (see step #1). Learn More
Not Matching Color The SRP was flexed or twisted in a way that damaged the electrical path to a series of 3 LEDs. It’s challenging to determine which LED trace (path) was damaged, but this is what caused the failure. Do not flex the SRP in the opposite direction or twist the SRP. When working with longer runs on larger installs, do not leave the SRP hanging in the channel or mount for more extended periods. This causes stress to the LED board.
Not Matching Color When the SRP-RGBW has another run (splice) where the arrows are mounted in a different direction, the color will not match. Be sure to align the cut pieces of the SRP-RGBW in the same orientation.
