Install transformer(s) in a well-ventilated area away from direct irrigation spray and central to the proposed installation site.

Installing Transformer

1. Mark the position of the top of the keyhole slot and the slot located at the bottom.

2. If mounting to a solid surface, drill 1/8” diameter pilot holes at the top and bottom marked in step one.  Drive the screws approximately halfway into the holes.  If mounting to drywall, drill ¼” diameter holes at the positions marked in step two. Push plastic anchors into the holes and tap until flush. Drive screws approximately halfway into the plastic anchors.

3. Slip the large portion of the keyhole over the top screw and allow the transformer to slide down, making sure the bottom slot is behind the head of the bottom screw.

4. Tighten screws until the transformer is secure.

Terminal Block Connections

1. Split 12/2, 10/2, 02 8/2 cable approximately 3” and strip ½” insulation from each wire.

2. On the terminal block marked “COM” (Figure 1), push one bare wire into the hole and tighten the corresponding screw on the terminal block face until the wire is secure.

3. Insert the remaining bare wire into the terminal block marked “15V” (Figure 1) and tighten the corresponding screw on the terminal block until the wire is secure.

NOTE: Do not loosen the top two screws on the terminal block as this connects the internal transformer.

Plug In Timer

1. Plug the timer into the receptacle.

2. Plug the short cord into the timer.

3. Set the timer according to the instructions provided with the timer.

NOTE: If not using a plug-in-timer, plug the short power cord into the receptacle.

Installing Photo Cell

1. Remove the existing white connector with grey jumper wire.

2. Install the male white connector with the red, white, and black wires into the EX female connector.

3. Pop up the ½", knockout on the right side of the transformer, push photocell photo eye out through the knockout and secure photocell to transformer using the rubber washer and plastic threaded nut.
