Changing the LED Board on the FG/TD Path Light

Step 1

Removing the four Philips screws with a small screwdriver will allow access to the LED board (Amber filter shown in demonstration).

Step 2

After carefully removing the filter, you should now see the LED board.

Step 3

Depending on the size of the LED board, you will have two to three Phillips head screws that need to be removed to access the LED board below the reflector. Carefully remove these screws by turning each counter clockwise.

Step 4

The LED board can now be removed.  Using a small flat bladed screwdriver to pry up gently on one side of the board taking into account the two pins on the bottom. Make sure the base of the fixture where the LED was removed from is clear of debris or residual thermal pad material.

 

Step 5

Once the LED is successfully removed this procedure can be performed backwards to install the replacement board.  Replacement boards will have to be the same size LED to fit properly.  All new FX LED boards come with a clear plastic coating on the back of the thermal pad, this must be removed prior to installation.
