Meandering Driveway Showcases Great Lighting Design

Like many lighting systems in the Barrington area the Thebault Residence was in much need of some updating. The Thebault's called on consummate lighting designer Michael Sander with area titan Ryco to update and beautify the existing lighting system with new FX LED fixtures.

The property sits on a lake and reflective surfaces like water are always a positive when it comes to maximizing a designs effect, Sander knew this and lit the backyard accordingly. HC-LED pathlights and JB-LED downlights were used around the back porch for security and safety, while PB uplights were used to light the vastly sprawling canopies of the regions trees.

An obvious property feature that grabbed Sander's attention was the expansive meandering driveway that curves from the adjacent roadway up to the garage. Ryco chose not only to install trees but to uplight them forcing the viewers eye towards the masterpiece that is the Thebault Residence.

Ryco owner Colin Taheny says the Thebault's property has led to surrounding lighting projects and created a growing business unit that didn't exist years ago. Designer Michael Sander states that the durability and functionality of FX fixtures will have him using the product line for years to come.
