In some cases, fixtures may require a firmware update to ensure optimal operation. Firmware updates are performed using the Luxor and require an SD card to transfer the update files from a computer to the facepack.  Following the recommended update procedure helps ensure reliable field operation.

NOTE: When upgrading the Luxor Firmware, you may receive the message "File Not Found."  If you see this message, please check the following: The SD card must be an SD or SD-HC. SD-XC should NOT be used. SD-XC cards do not work with the Luxor. Make sure the file name was NOT changed after saving (e.g., L2FC0011(2).efi should be L2FC0011.efi).

Step 1

Open the facepack by pulling the tab on the right side of the facepack and swinging the door open. Then pull the black tab on the back of the facepack outward while pushing the facepack through the door carriage.

Step 2

Insert the SD card with the pins facing the front of the facepack, pressing completely inward. Then release to lock the card into place.

Step 3

From the Home screen, select Setup. Navigate to the Firmware tab and press the scroll wheel.

Step 4

Select the Firmware Type (Mono (non-color fixture), Color (color fixture) that will be updated. Use the scroll wheel to select Update.
