The bottom right photo shows the problem with standard high voltage fixtures. The J-box is just plain ugly but necessary for 120v installations. The advantage of low voltage equipment is the flexibility of mounting and wiring 12v circuits because of their inherent safety provide. There is no code or need to install unsightly J-boxes when installing FX lights.
