Now that the project is installed it's time to adjust each fixture for both aim and location. This important function insures that the system is performing at the highest level and the designers lighting effect concept is fully realized.
 
 
BEFORE NIGHTTIME ADJUSTMENT CAN TAKE PLACE
 

Contractor to verify that all fixtures are installed and operating.

Contractor to verify (with a voltmeter) that voltage supplied to all fixtures is within the 10.5 - 11.5 volt range with all lamps installed and operating.

Contractor has allowed for fixture location adjustment by leaving an unburied 3' cable loop at the base of all ground-mounted fixtures.

Designer to get all necessary clearances for aiming team such as security gate passes and project owner permission.

Spare lamps of all different wattages and beam spreads

Extra Fixtures of the same model as installed

12-2 low voltage cable for additions

Wire strippers and other common electrical tools

Leather gloves (thin goat skin works well)

Voltmeter

Several flashlights small and large

Pruning shears and tree saw

Ladder if TrellisSolares® were used

 

Dark sunglasses - glacier or welders type (to keep from blowing out your eyes when changing halogen lamps on the fly)

 

GlareShields and HexBaffles™

 

Frosted Lens for ReflectoreStellato®

 

Color Gels for Spots

 

Wire nuts and electrical tape

 

Irrigation flags and permanent ink pen for marking changes that cannot take place at night.

 

Small white cotton shop towels (Costco's got 'em)

 

Warm clothes

 

Starbucks coffee and/or Amstel Light beer
